Best Cranberry Sauce with Candied Ginger

Want to try the best cranberry sauce ever? I made this cranberry sauce recipe with candied ginger to give it a bit of a bite. Try this kicked up version!

The holidays are coming around and it is cranberry season so it is time to get your cooking mentality geared towards fall. I like to use the all clad sauce pot   As a creative chef, I'm always looking to make things either a little different or better.  Hopefully in most cases I achieve both.
This recipe, I added ginger, if you don't like ginger but want a bite, try adding one whole jalapeño with just slit down one side of the pepper.  This will release the flavor and spice but not completely overwhelm it.

Cranberry Sauce with Candied Ginger

 

Here is the best cranberry sauce recipe with candied ginger, I hope you enjoy it!

  • 12 oz cranberries
  • 1/3 cup orang juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp candied ginger (small diced)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

How to make cranberry sauce

  1. In a sauce pot add diced candied ginger, orange juice, sugar, cranberries, and salt. Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for about 12-14 minutes. Until the cranberries start to break down and thicken the sauce. Turn off the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Pour into a container until ready to use. Enjoy!
