How to make Hummus
- Place garlic in a food processor and puree for 15 seconds. Then add drained and rinsed garbanzo beans with tahini. Puree for 20 seconds and then while the processor is still running start adding the water and olive oil. Alternating a little of water and then a little of the olive oil until you get the desired consistency you want (traditional hummus is a little on thicker side while I like to add a little water to mine to make it a little more creamy and thinner. Once the beans have a really smooth consistency you can add the lemon juice. Stop to scrape the sides of the processor and finish with salt, and pepper. Place in a bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil. Place on a platter with your favorite pita chips, raw vegetables, or crackers. Serve and enjoy!
